About Me
Raphael is a security professional, certified PSP and CPP by ASIS International. He holds a master’s degree in criminology and bachelor’s in Security and Police Studies.
Raphael has over 21 years of experience as a security expert with proficiency in planning, coordinating, project management and supervising and leading teams. He led several major projects and initiatives to enhance nuclear security and trained more than 150+ individuals on security matters, both domestically and abroad.
Raphael is currently a team leader, senior security advisor and inspector working at the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC). He is responsible for conducting security inspections at high security sites, including Nuclear Power Plants and nuclear facilities that store, use and transport high-risk radioactive materials. Raphael provides his expertise on security policies, technical assessments, compliance and enforcement activities in the field of nuclear security.
Since 2010, he participated in numerous international, regional and national training courses around the world as an expert and lecturer. He participated in several international peer review mission as a team member in Europe and Africa. He received several recognitions for his expertise and contributions at the CNSC.
In 2022, Raphael was recognize as one of the Canadian Security Magazine Top 10 under 40 recipient - Security Professional.
